In this section are collected the results of the
"Phytoplankton Bio-Imaging"
Project that are:
1.
Phytoplankton of Lagoons Atlas
: a collection of more than 1000 cards regarding phytoplankton of transitional water ecosystems.
2.
Atlas of Shapes
: In this section users can search into the atlas starting from the geometric shape, for each shape is present a structure image, surface area formula and volume formula.
3.
Database
: a tool that specific technician can use to do query on abundance experimental data stored into the database.
4.
Taxonomic and Biovolume Tools
: this tools are both integrated into the atlas and available separately and allows respectively the advanced search on the atlas and the calculation of Surface Area and Volume for each of the shapes present into the atlas.
5.
Phytoplankton in 3D
: in this section there is a description of the sampling activity involved in showing the 3rd dimension of phytoplankton samples, with a set of sample photos and the sampling schema.
6.
Software Descriptors
: in this section users can test the ecological quality status of the ecosystems through the
ISS-Phytoplankton
index calculation. The service in available both online in web version and downloadable in windows version
7.
